ten A temperature-controlled refrigerator to maintain the owners’ favorite drink

The Boat Tail’s miniature double refrigerator is designed to maintain a temperature of exactly six degrees Celsius, because that is the exact temperature that must be the vintages preferred by Armand de Brignac customers.

A pair of reversible timepieces which took three years to manufacture; one for the husband and one for the wife is what takes center stage in the Boat Tail. The couple who ordered this vehicle met with representatives of Bovet and played a role in the design and development of the timepieces. The timepiece can be worn or placed in the fascia of the boat tail in place of a conventional clock.

The couple who commissioned the Boat Tail worked closely with the Rolls-Royce Coachbuilt team, working out the finer details and making sure the end product was exactly what the couple wanted it to be. 4 Shaped by a single piece of metal

The boat tail has been hand hammered to form and is shaped by a single piece of metal broken only by the doors. It is a profession which is not practiced often and generally only on custom-made vehicle constructions.

The aluminum space frame used for the Boat Tail is the same as that of the Phantom except for the length, as the Boat Tail is a 19ft long boat.

3 Aft deck offers a boat appearance

The aft “deck” turns into a portable picnic and this is what gives the Boat Tail its name. The push of a button moves its synchronized butterfly panels skyward, revealing a temperature-controlled accommodation suite accompanied by a polished and color-matched champagne refrigerator.

Looking at the tail of the boat from the side, the appearance of a boat coming out of the water is apparent, one can only imagine that when the vehicle is in motion it will appear to glide along the road like a boat would in the water.
