Marking a decisive change in the posting of post office officers (SHOs) in Delhi Police, eight female officers are among the first 44 times posted in the latest transfer order issued on Wednesday.
The names of 55 SHOs were in the last order, police said.
Eight female inspectors were assigned as SHOs to key positions in the field. With this, Delhi has nine SHO wives in a month.
The eight SHO women are Alpana Sharma, Poonam Pareek, Dominka Purty, Roshlin Punam Minz, Harjinder Kaur, Pratibha Sharma, Kamini Gupta and Sapna Duggal, police said.
In the last posting order, 34 officers who had already served more than five years as a SHO were transferred and posted to different units. Among them, 18 inspectors were assigned to the security wing and eight to the Police Training College, Biswal said.
“This is to strengthen the efforts of the Delhi Police to raise a security battalion dedicated to managing the security of high-risk facilities in the capital, including that of the courts. inspectors with field experience as SHOs, ”he added.
Of the 79 new SHO assignments in the past month, 65 officers are newbies.
